Things have been pretty quiet since the last Week That Was post. Well, quiet in comparison to the golf tour. Mellon’s birthday was most certainly the opposite of calm. There was a bit of golf, a couple of treats, a sprinkle of good intentions, a few travel plans, and a bit of salt water.

I have to admit, I wasn’t a big fan of Candice Swanepoel at first. I can’t really say why, I just didn’t see it. Then she grew on me. It may have been the nipple ring thing, I can’t recall, but we’ve see a fair amount of Candice since then. We especially don’t miss out on our local abroad when she gets her ladies out.

I liked the sound of this film from the start. The premis is different enough to give this one a solid chance of actually being good. I’m just not sure it’s actually going to be. Either way, it’s going to be worth a watch. Check it out.

I so badly wish I could live in ‘MERICA for a while. I’m a little obsessed with the place at the moment. I mean, where else can you watch an entire car being eaten by a garbage truck, surrounded by a large workforce of men, all of whom are taking pictures or filming the event. And then you actually find out it’s an advert. For a garbage truck.

Teahupoo delivered another session of the year on Monday 13 May. 18-year-old Koa Rothman was by far the standout with the heaviest wave of the day, and what some are calling one of the heaviest waves ridden at Teahupoo. The video below is still raw, which means you get to hear the how powerful the wave actually is, and see how fast it is. No matter how many times I see this wave break, I still can’t get my head around what it must be like to be in a bad situation on a day like this.
