Gordon Gekko Step The Hell Back

Since the first time I saw a stock exchange floor going nuts (most likely in some 80s movie) I’ve wanted to know how the hell it works. Movies like Wall Street, 25th Hour and Boiler Room added to this. But, the fact is, numbers have always thrown me a bit, completely inaccessible to me unless I studied. Then Global Trader came along and gave me my pimp licence.

Now I can trade like Charlie Sheen after a three day bender except from the safety of my own desk.

More after the jump.

Global Trader, a company that allows individuals to trade on behalf of themselves online, have given me a lump of dosh to trade with (I’ll be dealing in CFD’s) and in doing so educate me (and you guys) on this online trading world and show that it’s not reserved for cocaine addicts in suits – it’s for anyone.

The reason I’ve decided to do this is because financial talk renders me mute. I have absolutely no understanding of any of it. My only experience when it comes to money management is making sure I have enough of it to catch a cab home after a big night.

I’ve always been terribly interested in these people who play with money and drive fast cars, and I’ve always been convinced I’d be incredibly good at playing the markets…I’ve just never taken the time to learn what a fixed term gathering annuity fund scheme with a hedge growth integer with stop blocks and a compound curve integer means.

It’s a life skill and something a boy of my age should start getting his head around. So, here’s the deal. I’ll be playing the markets with the help of a dedicated pro and hopefully I’ll come out with a little something at the end of the day.

If I somehow manage to prove my high school maths teacher wrong and make something out of this I’ll throw a party and give away tickets. Sound good? Of course it does. I do all the work, you get to party. I’ll be updating you along the way as to how things are going.

Also, movies like this will hopefully start making sense.

Money never sleeps!

And neither shall I…between the hours of 10am and 4pm from Tuesday to Friday.
