Over The Top With Jameson & Guess
Over the past few weeks Cape Town, Jo’burg and Plett have been spoilt by the good people at Jameson and Guess who, with the help of Anything Goes and Kreate, have put on the most amazing and ‘Over The Top’ events. With villas for venues, SA’s top DJs providing the soundtrack and models as ‘the help’ you can imagine what a success the events have been.

This is how we do it in Cape Town

I touched on the last one I went to in Bantry Bay briefly (here), when I introduced you to professional male model Brandon Davis but this week I have a little more for you. The event took place at the stunning Villa Lara in Llandudno – a spot I would snatch up in an instant should I win the lotto. Seriously check it out here, it’s incredible.
I roped in Mellon as my Plus One, I learnt my lesson the hard way regarding partner choices at the previous Over The Top event, and we arrived at the Lookout Deck in Hout Bay thirsty and ready for action. Judging by the people already there we were in for a good day. We opted out of the limo ride and went for the quicker taxi trip instead. After all, the barmen were waiting for us.
After a quick drive we were once again greeted by a bevy of beautiful Guess girls, where they find them all I have no idea, and the Paris Hilton lookalike who seemed quite comfortable on her leather couch dressed only in lingerie. Skipping the welcome photo we headed straight for the bar and a Strawberry Julep. We tucked into our first pink drink for the hell of it then moved swiftly on to double Jameson and Appletiser.
We spent the first part of the day in possible the best seats the house had to offer, punishing Jameson, defending our seats and taking it all in. We didn’t have plans to move but after the eighth double we couldn’t help ourselves, there was just too much going on and there is only so long you can stay seated when the better looking girls of Cape Town are running around in bikinis too small to be worn as an eye patch.
We did the rounds bumping into professional male model Brandon Davis, Sasha form GirlzE (the suppliers of our first few local Friday’s Friends), the Goodluck duo, some amazing MILFs and a legend buy the name of Gary Cassisa who decided to jump off the second story deck – you can catch that in the clip at the end of this.
We also hit the bed for a few shots with easily the best looking Guess girl there, the massage room for a bit of a rub down – ‘the harder the better’ may not have been the best things to say, I almost cried, and we were treated to a dancing show by some dude who was completely owning it. Oh and a whale decided to do a couple of backflip 360’s right in front of the villa, all to the sounds of DJ Fresh and Shaun Duvet (who owned Fresh by the way).
I also managed to lose the number, or rather the name (her number is in my phone I just don’t know where), of the girl from the upstairs bathroom who went from having a boyfriend, to being in a tricky situation, to single in the space of five minutes. So, if you are her you know what to do.
Let’s take a look at the highlight reel.
Incredible vibe right there.
Old Gary almost got marched straight out after that little stunt. But after a heartfelt apology and a little story about slipping after a few too many Jameson he was back on the good stuff.
Needless to say Mellon and I left the jol three hours after we were supposed to – how could we leave when our drink of choice was on tap? Our dinner date at Hudson’s Burger Joint with Snoddie was pushed from 5 to 6 to 7 to 8pm and I think we were even late for that. The always delicious and previous Friday’s Friend, Courtnay Thalrose was there and the burgers were out of this world, but more on that later.
In the mean time I suggest you check out the rest of the pictures from the Jameson and Guess Over The Top events over here.
Nash…
Out.
A big thanks to Kate from Kirstilyall for providing the good times. If you have any PR needs you should think about getting hold of her – kate@kirstilyall.com
