Everybody panic! Mother’s Day is just three sleeps away and we (the forgetful sons and daughters of the world) have not yet bought our beloved Mothers a gift. Who can blame us, really? Before going to see this movie I was inundated with positive feedback. People were going nuts about it. So many people, in fact, that the movie smashed one box office record after the next. One man told me otherwise, his name is @WeeRickyDee. I should have listened to him. Though I would have seen the movie anyway, and I would have still enjoyed it, I just wouldn’t have been as disappointed.

A while ago Ford gave me their new Ranger to test out. My first thought was ‘we’ll I’m going to have to sacrifice a patch of my garden to be able to park this thing’ – you see my parking bays are bordered by garden. It was that big, which is the thing I may have loved most about it. Why? Well, for a week I felt like a cowboy. A cowboy of the city, because I got to drive around about three meteres taller than every other car, park where I wanted – as long as it was on a pavement, and I could take the animals with me.

Jozi, listen up, things are looking up for you. I know there’s a lot of negativity surrounding you, especially from the Cape Town kids, you know, saying you don’t have any cool things to do, or places to go, and that all you have are rich kids with fast toys and cocaine, but we know the truth, don’t we. You’re actually a pretty rad kid. You’ve just caught on to this whole ‘craft’ thing a little later than Cape Town. And that’s ok. You have the Neighbourgoods Market now, and it’s quite lovely, if you don’t mind me saying, and now you have the Jozi Craft Beer Fest – the first of it’s kind up there, if I’m not mistaken. You’re well on your way to becoming a cool kid, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m so happy in fact that I have some tickets for you.

This is a bit of a mixed post. There’s a lot to it actually. You see, today I started looking for a place where I can do some bike lessons (I’ve only ever ridden scooters) – I still haven’t found one by the way so point me in the right direction if you know, I also found an EPIC bike – but that post will now have to wait for tomorrow, because I also found a video that got me pretty inspired, and along with it, an awesome competition – the prize is basically The American Dream – a tour with Harley Davidson in the Americas.

Everyone stop what you are doing and high-five the closest person to you, I HAVE A XBOX! My wait is over. I made the classic mistake of buying cheap (read: chipped second hand unit) the first time, then I got the Red Ring of Death and my gaming days were over. Now I have the real thing, plus ADSL, which means only one thing, no sex with anything other than my hand for the foreseeable future. Anyway, I now have a Xbox (is that supposed to be ‘an’ Xbox? It sounds like it should) and an account, and headphones which means I can kill other people who have also given up sex, and life, in order to shoot things. I got it at an amazing price, which is actually the point of this post, in fact it was a whole bundle deal. Details below.
