… There was absolutely no need for a subheading after a headline like that. Let’s break it down. Steven Segal. Vampires. Ok, now using the power of your mind put those two elements back together again, but in a fight situation, against each other. Steven Segal Vs. Vampires. SICK!
It’s a widely known fact that I love Steven Segal. I love Steven Segal almost as much as I love vampires, maybe even the same, possibly more, depending on what movie I have just watched. But probably not as much. Anyway, Steve hasn’t really broken away from fighting the good fight against the commi bastards, Chinese/Japanese mafia/army, corrupt cops, or terrorists threatening the USA. He enjoys those rolls and there is nothing wrong with that. He didn’t become one of the best actors in the world by choosing crap movies. Obviously as one of the most accomplished and talented actors, in the world, Steve can pick and choose the movies he wants to star in. He never has to do a movie. He never has to do anything he doesn’t want to do. Lately though, he has now chosen to do is expand his movie genre. Steve has chosen to take on vampires, possibly the coolest things in the world – EVER. Below is the basic plot. Katana master Tao (Steven Segal) leads a special ops squad of ex-military vigilantes on a massacre mission, their target: vampires. On the post-apocalyptic globe, sucked dry by bloodthirsty vampires, a few remaining survivors are trapped in an infected hospital. Tao is their only hope and he knows the only cure is execution. Now it's time for the last stand against the flesh-eating vampires and there's nothing left to lose but the last of humanity. Hectic! Steve has to save a post-apocalyptic globe sucked dry by vampires, and there is nothing left to lose but the last of humanity. That’s not really that much to lose, but I’m sure he will still put up a good fight. Personally, I’m glad he didn’t choose and alien theme. I’m just not that into aliens. Vampires are just much cooler and they are real, which makes the move that much more believable. Against the Dark will go straight to DVD and be released next year February. It’s happening people. Believe it. I’m amped. |
