The Week That Was: October 3/4
We’re getting back on track here, week wise. Things have been wildly busy on the work side of things for this time of year. New project wise I’m working on an awesome Old Mutual campaign, and an epic Continental adventure, both of which you’ll see come to life next week. My home brew is almost ready for bottling, and Thighland (yes I know how I spelt that) is just a few weeks away. You can feel it now, the suck of the end of the year. It’ll be upon us soon.
It’s been a pretty damn interesting week. There’s a whole lot up in the air regarding #WHATUPRIBS, which means Cape Town may actually get to sample them this year (we’re still not sure if you are ready though). Epic Games night at GrandWest is finally here. I’ve been waiting for this one for weeks now. I’m doing it properly. Suit, the works. I’m gonna tear that place apart…or be begging on a street corner by next week. Natalie and I finally got to see Ramfest junior this past Sunday, Daniel James Fourie (best first name ever). The Cape Town Festival Of Beer media event also took place, which resulted in my car sitting in the Sotano parking lot for the night and next day.
I also visited Chapmans Peak Hotel for the first time in a while, for their calamari and Portuguese steak combo (with mash – it’s very important that you order mash), which is unbeatable. Seriously, it’s unbeatable. You can’t judge it on one of the items alone, it’s the trifecta of the three that make it so damn good. Also, eat it straight out of the pan, don’t worry about the clean plate.
On Thursday I leave for PE where I join up with Mike Sharman and Daddy K from Motion City Film. We’re joining the Continental Run To Stop challenge for a roadtrip of awesome from PE to Joburg, so there will hopefully be some rad stuff coming out of that.
That’s about it for now.
Nash…
Out.
