‘We’re Gonna Be Lords’ a Short Doc on Young New York Hip-Hop

If you held a gun to my head, I’d say LA is my favourite city in the world. I’d say the same if you asked me over a beer, no need for violence here bra. I’ve got some close seconds of course. Amsterdam, Paris, and do I even need to mention Joburg and Cape Town. I haven’t popped my Big Apple cherry yet though, and I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve seen a lot of stuff coming out of the city lately – series, speakers, shorts like this, but it’s been sitting at the top of my Places I Need To Go list for some time now. From Robert Lopuski, who directed Jay Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne documentary, here’s a short doc on the world of young New York hiphop. Starring Action Bronson, The Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, and Le1f.
