Nominate The Following For The 2010 SA Blog Awards

In case you missed it last week, I’ll be trying my utmost to get kicked out of this year’s Blog Awards (click that if you missed it). Not because I’m a bad loser or think they’re entirely corrupt and bias toward the members of the Cape Town blogger circle-jerk…wait…sorry, that’s exactly why I’m trying to get kicked out. I’m a terribly bad loser and I often cry on my birthday.

I’m also a champion of the good cause and anything awesome, so after the jump you will find a list of bloggers that really do deserve a nomination (or thousand). These are the few that offer something different, a unique voice, a great design, or real content. Check them out and nominate them.

If you need me to explain which category they should be nominated for you shouldn’t be reading this.

Aficionado – a group blog that delivers the goods via a slick design. If I was as cool as this crowd I’d be getting laid at least…once more per week – which would take me to an impressive figure of 5, in case you were wondering.

Liam Lynch Photo Blog – I think the name says it all. Plus, it’s so much more than just photography.

#DeafBy40 – By Liam Lynch and Rudi Cronje. it doesn’t get much cooler than this. Backstage, drunk nights and, of course, I feature.

Andrew Brautseth’s Bree Street – because it is the raddest street in Cape Town.

Van Coke Kartel – These boys deserve Best Design. Seriously, check it out.

The Foodie – Because this guy makes food cool, which is pretty tough unless you are actually eating it.

2 Oceans Vibe Radio – Because no other podcast/online radio has Richard Hardiman or old school ads.

Shaun Oakes – because he’s been around for, like, ever. His writing is truly funny and unique (when he decides to write) and if he beats me I know he’ll buy me a beer.

SLXS – purely because I see in the young Sean Lloyd the ‘fuck you’ attitude I enjoy so much and I hope one day he has enough clout to wield it with the force and momentum a true ‘fuck you’ attitude deserves.

Running Wolfs Rant – Cause this boy represents for the North and loves good music.

The Pharside – because he’s a Saffa in the UK that likes to get hammered and he met Pam Anderson.

And that’s it. I may add one or two over the next week or two (nominations close at the end of this month). I’ll let you know if I do.
