Right, all you need to do to get your hands on the tickets is drop a comment below telling me (in 50 words or less) who your ultimate music colab would be made up of (dead or alive). Don’t forget to tell me which city you want the tickets for.

listen, im not musical expert or lyrical genius, nor am i clued up on the whole musical industry….but i reckon a totally epic colab would be between gold fish and johnny clegg, both succesful in their own right, both forged new ground on the local….both African!!!! sound legit?
oh and joburg would be the city of choice

  2. Arthur

How about this: Stevie Ray Vaughan & Metallica.
Just imagine Kirk making that Stratocaster sing to Texas Flood & Stevie absolutely ripping it out on Master of Puppets!!
Uh oh…I think I just wet myself

RIP SRV. Wish I could have witnessed your magic personally.

  3. Pearl Jam, Ben Harper & Bob Marley

They have shared their music willingly and their musical talent has true power to change the perceptions of society

Their music makes you feel the rain and not get wet…

    Cape Town!

    Cape Town

  4. Lynn

    Queen and Debussy.

    Cape Town.

  5. Neil Basson

    Amy Winehouse & Kanye West
A sober Winehouse singing over a Kanye produced beat would be so powerful that Grammy awards would come their way before a video was even released.

Lauryn Hill & Jay Z also a great combo.

    Cape Town tix please!

  6. Jacques

John Bonham (Led Zeplin) on drums, Flea (chili peppers) on bass, Hendrix on lead and Jack White on rhythm and vocals. COMMON!!!

  7. Andrew

Ozzy Osbourne and Justin Bieber. (With the intention of seeing Ozzy bite Bieber’s head off!)

    Cape Town

  8. Tashreeq

Tumi and the volume with Amy Winehouse.

Her voice and his lyrical flow. Nice combination. Cape Town

  9. doug

jack white (white stripes, raconteurs, dead weather), Josh Homme (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone age, Eagles of Death metal), andrew stockdale (wolfmother), Peter hayes (BJM, BRMC)

Cape town, but i cant make it, bleak :(

  10. Stone

    Lyric writing: John Lennon
    Drums: David Grohl
    Bass: Flea
    Lead Guitar Jimmi Hendrix
    Rythm Guitar: James Hetfield
    Support Vocals: James Hetfield
    Vocals: Freddie Mercury
    Venue: Cape Town

Ja, super weird mix. Could be pure madness though.

  11. Tans

Because I love the symphony idea, I’m going to have to include a 65 piece orchestra in my colab with the rockstars of Queen and the belting voice of Adele, throw Jimi Hendrix into that mix and you’ve got yourself some tunes.

    Cape Town

  12. Tracy

Kurt Cobain(RIP) and Placebo I think they would’ve meshed very well together OR it would be really cool if The Foo fighters could’ve hooked up with Kurt Cobain(RIP) and have him and Dave Grohl rocking together for old times sake.

    Cape Town

I’m a big fan of a lot of music, and producing/creating music is a special gift. I am however also a huge fan of covers and recreations especially when someone does an accoustic cover of a house/electro song. Id love to see a collab between Evan Duffy and DSharp (YouTube them)

  14. Charlie

Tough one. I’d have to say an accoustic co-lab of Ben Howard and Dave Grohl in a small venue. (The gig would start at 8:30pm – sharp!)

  15. Katie Edge

How about Tom Morello with Jimmy Hendricks, Kurt Cobain and Florence from Florence and the Machine?

    Cape Town :)

  16. Chris

Jimi Hendrix and Ard Mathews. The artists behind two memorable and often replayed national anthems could be great together, or at least Matthews could learn something.

  17. Ohhh! I can think of these for days, but I would say:
Kurt Cobain and a little bit of local with Inge Beckmann :)
And they must perform at a very intimate venue…!!
I would pay DOLLARS for this :)

  18. and CAPE TOWN PLEASSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Emily

DAVE GROHL. HAYLEY WILLIAMS. LADY GAGA. RONNIE RADKE.

    Johannesburg.
