an essential for this summer. Iglu & Hartly, are an American band (none of the members are named Iglu or Hartly) from California who have recently cracked it in the UK, signing with Mercury Records, a UK based studio. Their new single “In This City” has just reached #5 on the UK charts. 
Besides making it to #5, “In This City” will be my tune for this summer. It will be on repeat in my car, in my house, in Plett, on my iPod and in my head. I’ll probably hate it in three weeks but by then I’ll be on to my next summer tune. I’m a bit of a playa like that. Give it a listen. Iglu & Hartly - In This City LOVE it! keeping it in the family. No you are not still coming down. The weekend was rather large but you did read that correctly. jacSharp and PLUSH are doing a South African tour. Around South Africa, obviously. Their first gig was actually this past Saturday, at Harvey Wallbangerz in Durbs. If you missed it you are a fool! Unless you don’t live in Durbs, then, I suppose, you are ok. For now. Below is their full schedule. If the city/town you live in appears on the list and you miss the gig that corresponds with that city/town, I am afraid you will automatically be placed in a box labelled “poes”. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. Diarise the below dates. You may or may not be tested on them at a later stage.  (Click for a bigger version that you can actually read) Quite the tour, if you ask me. Did you pick up on the “Two bands, five shared musicians” vibe? Hence "keep it in the family". Clever. That is what makes this tour exceptional, though somewhat incestuous. The energy these musicians create when they get together is nothing short of phenomenal. It’s meaningful, crowd pleasing, venue rocking, music that you will lose your voice to. Anyway, I’m away for the gig on the 18th, which annoys me no end, however I shall be catching the one at VIP, in Plettenberg Bay on the 28th. Possibly even the one at Crab’s Creek. Just thought I’d let you know that in case, you know, you wanted to buy me a drink. I mean, you have been eyeing me out the entire week. It’s sort of scaring me now. Are you interested in having drunk yet consensual sex with me, or are you interested in harvesting my kidneys? Give me a clue. A wink? Is that a syringe? |

as sung by Leon Schuster. It seems everyone is jumping on the proverbial Luke Watson tricycle. The latest being none other than Leon Schuster. He has "sung" a "song" about our precious little Puke Watson. As I have said before, I have no idea how to post "sound" so I have caught it and put it into a video, along with a picture that, I feel, sums up Luke quite nicely. Let's have a listen. off her new album. Obviously. Paris didn't enjoy a lot of success with her first album, "Paris". The only track that kind of did well was "Stars Are Blind", which to be totally honest I quite enjoyed. You did to. Don't lie. I saw you singing along that one night at Red's Bar. Ya! Exactly. She has just released her first single off the new album - My BFF (My Best Friend Forever). Excuse me.. ... sorry, I just got sick in my mouth. I swallowed it now, it's ok. Let's continue. I have had a listen, so should you. I think you'll agree, that was pretty kak. Paris, our Princess who's shares are rapidly falling, says her biggest influence was Kylie Minogue. I think Kylie would die if heard that. Paris has managed to fuck up the Kylie vibe properly. Never mind the sound, we haven't even touched on the lyrics yet. "Could you be the one I want? Could you be the one I need? All of my life, don't you know I've been waiting... for my best friend.” Jesus chick! That's pretty fucked up. No wonder Nicole and Brit left you. Ok, so that isn’t entirely true. Goldfish hasn’t actually won the MTV Africa award, like for real, yet. It’s going to happen, because YOU are going to make it happen. Just like every vote counted in getting Obama elected, every vote for Goldfish moves them one step closer to world domination. Dom filled me in earlier today, and expressed his confusion regarding Coldplay making it into the Best Alternative Category – Goldfishes category. What the fuck is up with that? There is absolutely no way we (you and I) can let Coldplay come to Africa (Nigeria to be precise) roll into the MTV AFRICA Awards and take home the Best Alternative Award. Not when our boys are up for the same award. So this is what you and ALL your friends need to must do… Click HERE. Look to the left of the screen that pops up.
