It’s Braaiday, Braaiday, Gotta Get Down On Braaiday!

This just made my day. A parody of Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’….”song”. It’s like it was the original intent for the song though, it just works so much better. No straining that Friiieday out like Rebecca. ‘Braaiday’ just fits. The dudes behind this video, Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues, seem to have emerged, out of nowhere, with a parody done to perfection. We need dudes like this in SA. We need more awesome.

Right, so these dudes are actually from a Cape Town band, in case you couldn’t tell by their vibe, called Gravity Wins Again (they’ll be playing at Brewers & Union later this month. I’m obviously going to have to check them out now. Anway, this is how to make a parody video. Dudes in SA have been failing at it badly, for years. This is Funny Or Die level people. This is the real deal.

I look forward to more from these dudes. As Mike Sharman said, they’ve set the bar fucking high with this one. I’ll keep my eyes open.
