The Green Juice Of Awesomeness

The Green Juice Of Awesomeness

I swear by a few things in life; old fashioned manners, a good pair of jeans, honesty, having an opinion (wrong or right), Converse sneakers, and now, green juice. I tried my first kale juice in Venice Beach, I ordered it not really knowing what I was in for and loved it. After a ten days of boozing, I could feel it’s goodness inside me. I forgot about it though, until just over a week ago. Natalie blended up a batch disgusting looking juice, I was hesitant at first, but after taking a sip realised it was the same stuff that had saved my life. I’ve been drinking one daily since, and I swear to you it has just cured my flu. I know I told you to take old malaria tablets a while ago (and you still can – but I never told you), but this is probably a better solution.

It’s basically an injection of amazing things that your body needs. Here’s what to chuck in the blender (serves two and a bit people).

1 large green apple
1 large celery stick
2 cups of spinach/kale
1/4 cucumber
splash of apple juice
2 cups of ice

It’s that easy. I have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or in between any of those. What I’m saying is, you can have it whenever. I’ll be looking into a few extra ingredients, a few things to kick it up a notch. I’ll let you know when I’ve perfected the ultimate juice.

When you say blender do you mean plain old blender or do you need a juicer? I’ve been pricing juicers and they’re stupidly expensive.

Hey Chris, dont waste your time on a juicer. They remove a lot of the goodies that you are trying to take in with the fruit. (and also make the sugars more accesible, thus causing a sugar spike)
Rather blend fruit and add ice (like above) to make it more liquid.

Yeah Chris, I use a basic blender. Keeps all the good stuff ie skins. Just don’t get the bottom of the range. It should be able to handle a few blocks of ice, but doesn’t need to blend cocktails (though that would be a bonus).

  2. Hey, what blender do you use? Just got myself one and it’s useless.
