3D printing isn’t anything new, but it’s progressing pretty quickly, at least in terms of consumer reach and cost. It’s by no means cheap, but it’s pretty hard to put a price on something completely unique to you, especially if you can wear it, display it, or actually use it in your day to day life. I’ve spent a good two hours on Shapeways, a 3D printing company that makes it possible for you to produce and sell your designs. It’s like the Springleap of 3D printing. This is how I found them.

“There is no penalty for inovation.” Love that.
I know. Epic. I’ve checked it out, and they do ship to South Africa – it’s cost an additional $20 on the already expensive tag, but as I said earlier, the only limitation is your imagination. You could potentially have an incredible amount of fun with this, or at the very least get some cool shit.
